Werkschau der Künstler vom Projekt 12auf15

Hiermit möchten wir die zusätzliche Werkschau aller teilnehmen Künstler und einigen Gastkünstlern vom Kunstprojekt 12auf15 ankündigen.

Am 05. und 06.12. 2009 findet in der Giesler-Galerie Brühl zusätzlich zur Gerüstkunst eine Ausstellung auf über 300 m² statt.

Zu sehen gibt es die unterschiedlichsten Arbeiten über Malerei, Fotografie, Objekte, Skulpturen und Tonarbeiten. Einiges wird durch die Installation auf dem Baugerüst vertraut sein, aber es kommen noch ganz andere Arbeiten aller Künstler zum Vorschein. Außer den Arbeiten, die auch gekauft werden können, sind die Künstler natürlich gern bereit, über das Ansinnen ihrer Gerüstkunst ins Gespräch zu kommen. Sie wünschen sich viele Besucher, denn von den Verkauferlösen fließt ebenfalls ein Teil auf das Spendenkonto von Sonderspaß e.V.

12 Künstler aus NRW toben sich auf einem Gerüst in Brühl aus. Am Haus Uhlstraße 73 wird am Mittwoch, den 25.11.2009 um 17.00 Uhr die Aktion öffentlich. Zur Enthüllung der Beiträge von 12 Künstlern auf 15 Quadratmetern sind Sie herzlich eingeladen.

Die Idee, ein Gerüst vor einer Hausfassade als Kunstforum zu nutzen, entstand in der Werkstatt der Keramikerin Judith Klein. Sie und ihr Mann Peter Sistig wollten das Baugerüst vor ihrem Haus für eine Kunstaktion zur Verfügung stellen. Die „Kunstraum-Nomadin“ Gabriele Vorbrodt lud daraufhin Künstler ein, diese außergewöhnliche Kunstpräsentation zu nutzen. Man fand sich zur Gruppe „12auf15“ zusammen. Die Unterschiedlichkeit der teilnehmenden Künstler ist dabei zur eigentlichen Stärke des Projektes avanciert.

Wie ernst nehmen sie sich und die Kunst? Was würde Max Ernst, der berühmteste Sohn dieser Stadt, darauf antworten? Er würde wohl seinen Spaß daran haben!

Mit dieser Aktion wird eine weitere Aktion unterstützt, denn die Gruppe hat viele Sponsoren und Förderer aufgetan. Mit den Einnahmen wird der Brühler Verein „Sonderspaß e.V.“ unterstützt. Der Verein bringt Menschen mit und ohne Behinderung zusammen. Dieses Motto hat die unbedingte Akzeptanz der Andersartigkeit der Individuen zur Grundlage. Sonderspaß e.V. ist für seine engagierte soziale Arbeit auch und zunehmend auf private Unterstützung und Finanzierung angewiesen.

So werden die teilnehmenden Künstler vom Mittwoch, den 25.11.2009 um 17.00 Uhr an für einen Monat lang ihren ganz eigenen „Sonderspaß“ in der Kulturstadt Brühl verwirklichen und dabei den Verein mit eben jenem Namen im Jubiläumsjahr 15 seines Bestehens durch die Einrichtung eines Spendenkontos bei der VR-Bank (Konto 9410040 BLZ 37161289) zu unterstützen suchen.

Encore un tres beau concert d'EleganCi. Cette fois ci au Theaterhaus-Ehrenfeld a Cologne.

EleganCi est un groupe de Cologne, jouant de la musique traditionnelle cad la musique des Gitans, des Roms, des Balkans mais aussi du rock et hard rock. Chantant dans la langue des Sinti, des Roms, en serbo-croate et quelques morceaux en anglais.
Ils sont un parfait melange de tout avec une excellente presence en scene, de l'humour et enormement de talent.

TRILOFF - Kirmes 3x3 @ Giesler Galerie/Galerie Vorbrodt - Brühl

Diese Austellung brachte uns in die magische Welt der Kindheit, gleichzeitig unschuldig und etwas böse.

Schon beim Eintritt hatte man das Gefühl, dass hier andere Regeln herschen, so wie im Baumhaus. Hier aber machte es einen noch staunender über dieser Reproduktion des Seltenen.

Drei Selbstporträts schauten uns fixierend an und ruften, befehlten und warteten, dass man die drei kinetetischen Objekte ausprobiert : die «Konferenz» , das «Sambarussell» und den «Norddeutschen Hometrainer».

«Konferenz» ist ein Karussell für vier Personen, die es per Pedale mit eigener Muskelkraft zum Rotieren bringen. Sie treten dabei auf der Stelle und drehen sich im Kreis

Das «Sambarussell» ist ein Ein-Personen-Karussell, das über Pedale mit Muskelraft angetrieben, bei der Drehung mechanisch den typischen Sambasound erzeugt.

Der «Norddeutsche Hometrainer» ermöglicht radfahren unter typisch norddeutschen Bedingungen, Gegenwind und Regen, in geschlossenen Räumen.

Jedes Objekt mit seiner Bewegung kreierte einen noch viel intimeren Raum, wie in einer Blase. Die Selbsporträts verfolgten uns mit ihren lümeligen Blicken.

Dazu kamen noch 3 kleine Objekte : die «Loopingmachine», das «Wattfahrad» und der «Denkerhelm»

Die «Loopingmachine» und das «Wattfahrrad» sind auch kinetische Objekte aber nur als Modelle dargestellt. Der «Denkerhelm» ist ein Hut, der uns zum Denken anregt.

Triloff ist ein sehr interessanter Künstler mit Erfinderseele.

Seine Arbeiten bringen das Seriöse mit dem Unseriösem , das Techniche und das Schöne, das erwachsen Bedachte und das kindlich Spontane zusammen. Immer spannend und kreativ.

Hier nur eine kleine Notiz zu der Austellung:

Etwas mehr diesbezüglich HIER
Ich war dabei nur bei der Finissage.
Die Austellung war super, mit natürlich original Bildern von Elliott Landy, die einen direkt in die Zeitmaschine setzten. Und zu meiner großen Freude war auch Frank Zappa dabei :o)

Für die Unterhaltung wärend der Finissage, sorgte Winfried Bode, ein sehr guter deutscher Songwritter. Die Besucher waren auch alle entzückt, klatchten, haben mit gesungen und sogar getanzt.
Etwas errinerte mich an den berühmten TV Smith, aber ich fand Winfried Bode eigentlich viel besser und interessanter, er hat eine wunderbare Stimme!

Robodonien 2009

On the weekend 18-20 september, at the arts and culture free state of Odonien took, for the second time, the Robodonien festival place.

Many european artists showed again their cinetic objets made from old metal, a lot of performances and concerts took also place in this apocaliptic environement.
I must say that at my big dissapointment, most of the objects and performances were the same or very similar as last year, so a bit borring for me.

But one thing was really different, the best, funniest and most interessting performance and object was the Barbie-Que. It was made and performed by a team from the Netherlands. They were really great and original. Check out their web page: www.zorbot.nl
I used the occasion to fullfill my hunger and ordered a Ken à la minute:

We have seen them last year already and couldn't miss them this year ... so going to Hamburg was an absolute must :o)
Really impossible to describe what they are doing on stage but it's very rare to see such a presence, humor and good music. Mixing the power of balkan brass and Italian charme ... They just bring fire anywhere they appear I think :oD

This concert was really full!!! Really !! For a monday night quite rare ... this is definitely also the most humid concert I ever seen , humid in the water or clowdy way -- Impossible to film and exremely difficult to take real photos . Haha! They all have a funny effect on them ..
Very cool concert anyway ... good, punky, reggealised, skaised and latinised sound! :o) And they were even very funny!

The first concert live of the year ... so, TV Smith & Vom Ritchie supported by Pascal Briggs.

Not a bad choise at all for the start :oD

I've seen TV Smith already end 2007 and it was really good and this time even better.
The support guy Pascal Briggs was really ok and then this time TV Smith played with Vom Ritchie (remember Spittin' Vicars and Die Toten Hosen?) and even Pascal Briggs joined... really fun!
They got great power out of them and their accoustic instruments into the public, in the air and everywhere ... we liked it a lot!
TV Smith is always a pleasure to see... bravissimo!

This is for me the best event of the year ... yeah! Woowie !! BBP are really great!

Since the first time I've heard BBP they became for me one of my favorite bands, well with Captain Beefheart, The Plastic People of the Universe and Frank Zappa ( I hate top lists but this would be probably mine )

A little short description I found on their page :

"Czech alternative/underground group with roots back to 1982. The original 3 member punk squad has gradually grown into the current 10-14 member underground orchestra with a plastic sound. The lyrics of all the songs - not really optimistic, dark, but quite often featuring a peculiar sense of humor - are written in Czech by the poet Black Otto."

The first band that played was Schmeisig - a local band - yes from Cologne and that was a good surprise ... doing a lot of funny all style covers ... haha! even metal sitting on a chair ! LoL!

Waaaaah! that was so cool !!! - so first a vid to get you into the mood!!

The french bands are really the best concerts going on here for the moment - after Les Touffes Kretiennes who knocked us already out a month ago and even managed to multipli by ten my trumpet lessons now after this concert I think I will not have any more time to sleep and my neighbours will kill me - hehe!

I found a litte note about them on the web for the german speakers ;o) - I wouldn't know to say better :
"Les Fils de Teuhpu zu beschreiben oder gar musikalisch einzuordnen, ist
eigentlich unmöglich. Versuchen wir es mit “Frank Zappa der mit Monthy
Phyton und Eläkeläiset zusammen Chanson und Reggae/Ska-Sounds
fabriziert” und "Babylon Circus treffen auf 17 Hippies und Cirqus
Alfon”, was uns aber auch nicht viel weiter bringt. Fest steht: Es
handelt sich hier um einen verrückten Haufen, der mit ungeheuer viel
Spaß und Unbekümmertheit an das Musikmachen heran geht. Was bekommt man
zu hören? Zum Beispiel ein schräges fetzendes Hammond-B3-Solo, fette
Bläsersätze, Skiffle-Banjo, Ska, deftigen Punk, Balkan-Zitate, Swing,
französisches Chanson, Akkordeon (logisch bei einer französischen
Band), Slide-Gitarre, Posaune und und und. Angesichts der
Verrücktheiten müsste die Band aus Finnland stammen."

Rezurex ist eine vierköpfige Psychobilly Band aus Los Angeles, mit Daniel deLeon (Gitarre, gesang), Ben 9000 (Schlagzeug), K.R.O. (Kontrabass) und Manny (Sologitarre).
Ziemlich jung und voller energie. Eine gute mischung aus 50 Jahre rock & roll und der musik der 80rn. Die bringen alle "Geschmacksknospen" zum beben!

2004 ist deren erster single veröffentlicht "Dia de los Muertos" und seitem hat "Rezurex" schon 2 Alben veröffentlicht: "Beyond the Grave" 2006 und dises Jahr "Psycho Radio".

Das Konzert im Sonic Ballroom war super, die hatten eine echt mega coole Präsentz auf der Bühne, und haben den Laden richtig abgerockt ! :o) Yeah!
Eigentlich per momente haben die mich echt sehr errinert an meinen ersten Sonic Ballroom Konzert : Vegas Kings aus Australien, der auch super toll war !!! - Obwohl, hum - die zwei Bands gar nicht den gleichen look vertretten ;o)

I must say they really rock. The singer ist so cool and sexy. I was really impressed !! I think I will not miss another concert of them :o)

On les a deja vus des nombreuses fois jouer, et voici pour la premiere fois en blog ... ouais, c'est tres difficile de ne pas danser en les ecoutant !!!

EleganCi sont donc : Drago Riter (guitare, chant); Rudi Rumstajn(guitare, chant), Matthes Traschuetz (baterie, chant) Thomas(bass) - tous super sympas :o)

Ils ont un style original, melangant la musique des balkans, tzigane, latino, meme du hard rock etc ... avec beaucoup de passion accompagne d'un mistral dalmate, touchant plein l'ame ;o)

Die "Nicht sehr katholische Fanfare" - also "Les Touffes Krétiennes" ist ein Projekt diverser Musiker, gegründet 2001. Ein Spitzen line up, mit Mitgliedern von Babylon Circus, Fils de Teuhpu, Hurlements D’Léo, Ogres de Barback, etc ... Alles was man für Augen, Seele, Ohren braucht. ;o)
Ein feueriges Konzert, fröhlich, sexy und witzig - heiss, geradeaus aus dem Fegefeuer! Hat echt Spass gemacht und ist sehr empfehlenswert!

Encore un petit mot sur Les Touffes Krétiennes, qui pour le coup ne portent pas très bien leur nom. Et pour cause: pour les francophiles qui ne connaissent pas encore l'expression, un "étouffe chrétien" n'est rien d'autre qu'un mets d'une consistance épaisse et étouffante que le chrétien (qui doit ici être entendu ici comme étant un individu lambda comme toi et...moi), a ma foi bien du mal à avaler. Or, vu le pourcentage élevé de "chrétiennes" se trouvant au concert, toutes portant un sourire remonté aux oreilles, se tortillant enivrées par les vibrations musicales...et des musiciens, alors oui, on peut le dire: Les Touffes Krétiennes sont un mets très apprécié.

U-Boot Orchester (Hamburg) ou Orchestre du Sous-marin - un peu difficile à decrire ce qu'ils font exactement ou que sont tout ces intsruments aux noms étranges ou inventés.
Ils jouent avec de la bonne humeur, avec une touche de clown, de compte de fées, avec un son unique, magique, maritime,naturel et qui ne cesse de se réinventer. Ils nous ammenent dans un voyage currieux, ou on a l'impression d'entendre le son de la marée et le bruit dur du silence. ;o)

Je suis très ravie de cette découverte. Ils me rappelent d'une manière peut être maritime, à un autre orchestre impro d'une ile disparue de la mer de Barents, dont je suis surement le plus grand fan : Novaya Insolvanya Symphony Orchestra (Cologne).
Un concert avec les deux Orchestres devrait être un moment de félicité suprême !! ;o))))

Le U-Boot Orchester était fondé en 2003 lors de la presentation publique du sous-marin russe 434 dans le port d'Hamburg, quand des instrumentistes et des artistes de divers genres (improvisation, jazz, classique, etc) ce sont mis ensemble pour traduire l'histoire et l'esprit de se sousmarin en musique :o)

Eine lustige Endeckung in Prag, die Gruppe "Echt!"
Die spielten im"Vagon", einem sehr coolem Lokal, mit natürlich leckerem Bier und einemsehr gutem Publikum. Da konnte man sich eigentlich nur willkommenfühlen.

Etwas zu der Geschichte von "Echt!"

Inden 70ern Jahren war die Bar "Klamovka", wo sich Künster und Musikerder unterschiedlichsten Richtungen trafen, einer der berühmtestenUnderground-Treffpunkte.
Der Zufall wollte, dass 1988 einige vondiesen Musikern die Gruppe "Echt!" gegrundet haben. Am Anfang ihrerAuftritte haben sie ihr Publikum in der neuen Prager "Pub-Rock"-Szenegefunden und seitdem (bis heute) folgt ihr Publikum ihren meistenKonzerten.
Nach der "Samtenen Revolution", im November 1989, warendie Gruppen "Echt!" und "Pulnoc" im "Centre Georges Pompidou",Paris,für ein Konzert eingeladen. Es war die erste Austellung nach dem Totvon Andy Warhol. Dort spielten sie gleichzeitig mit demUrsprungsmitgliedern von "The Velvet Undeground", die auch erstmaligwieder nach 20 Jahren zusammenspielten .

Nach der "SamtenenRevolution" fing auch der Erfolg von "Echt!" an. Sie spielten aufeinigen Festivals in Frankreich, Deutschland und Österreich.
1990,unter der Schirmherrschaft vom Präsident Václav Havel haben "Echt!" mit"Pulnoc" (ehemalige Mitglieder von "The Plastic People of theUniverse") einen gemeinsamen Titel aufgenommen, "Sanitka pro Rumunsko"(Die Ambulanz für Rumänien), wo auch "Echt!" das lied "Morning,Morning" vorgestellt haben. Später haben "Echt!" auch zwei Lieder fürden Sampler „Kroky/Adam“ aufgenommen, und 1993 waren "Echt!" auf einersplit-CD-Compilation "Ujezd" (genannt nach dem ersten offiziellenRock-Club in Prag) mit dem Lied "Sedm statecných" (The MagnificentSeven).

Eine Weile hatte "Echt!" nicht mehr so viele Auftritte,weil zwei der Musiker (K. Malik und V. Zatloukal) gleichzeitig in derGruppe „Hudba Praha/Jasná Páka“ gespielt haben und der dritte (J. Jelínek) als Gastmusikerspielte.
"Echt!" ist jetzt aber wieder zusammen und schon 1997 habensie ihr erstes richtiges Album aufgenommen, "Horký pití" (BittererDrink). Das Cover ist von einem berühmten Designer, Karel Haloun,gestaltet Ein Video gibt's zum Lied "Kytara" (Guitar), das leider vomTschechischen Fernsehen als morbid erklärt und verboten wurde.

DieMusik von "Echt!" kann man mit einer Mischung aus Punk und IrischerPub-Musik vergleichen, z.B wie "The Pogues" und "The Dubliners". Inmanchen Momenten blitzt ein kleiner Einfluss von "The Plastic Peopleof the Universe" auf. Josef Janícek (ein Ehemaliger von "The PlasticPeople ofthe Universe") war auch eingeladen, auf diesem Album zu spielen,unterstützt von Jirí Kabes (auch ex-The Plastic People of theUniverse). In dem Lied "Noc je dlouhá" (Die Nacht ist lang) spielt erAkkordeon und in dem Lied "Smutný nebe" (Trauriger Himmel) Mandoline.

Most of us refer to the flowers in this picture as an Orange Lily, or a Tiger Lily. But, some people call this Day Lily a "Ditch Lily". It's because this prolific wild flower is commonly found in ditches around awide area of America.
There is much confusion about Tiger Lilies. An oriental variety is very similar. The major difference is that the oriental Tiger Lily propagates through a bulbs that forms at leaf axils. The common wild flower Tiger Lily is a profuse propagator by means of tuberousroots. Both varieties have edible roots and have been used for medicinal purposes.

Did You Know?
- Tiger Lilies have medicinal uses. They relieve congestion, and the nausea and vomiting of pregnancy.
- Native Americans ate the tuberous roots, baking them as you would potatoes.

BUT ALSO :

a funny trio founded 1989 in an apartment on top of a Soho strip bar.The group name has nothing to do with the lovely flower – they are named after a murdered hooker, Lily, who had the habit of receiving her customers dressed in animal prints.

A dark punk cabaret band, with grotesk clown faces, singing controversial songs with a voice that sounds sometimes as from someon ebeing castrated and sometimes close to Tom Waits. With tragique and funny lyrics, about prostitution, the life of simply people, murderer, perverted sexual phantasies, dirt, shit, farts etc … Well, sure not everybodys taste.

“I’m terrible, I’m terrible, I shouldn’t be allowed to sing my songs of filth to a decent crowd, but when I do offend someone it makes me feel so proud.”

Odonien in Köln, das Gelände des Künstlers Odo Rumpf, ein sehr interessanter Ort mit einer etwas post-apokaliptische Atmosphäre. Nicht so ganz einfach zu finden zu Fuss, wenn man noch nicht da war, aber es liegt quasi neben dem bekannten Pascha Bordello ;o)
Jim Whiting, bekannt durch sein Werk im Video "Rockit" von Herbie Hancock und für seinen Maschinentheater „Unnatural Bodies" war der Kunst Leiter und Kurator dieses Events.
Der Mix zwichen Technik und Kunst, die unterschiedlichen Elementen wie Feuer, Wasser, Licht, Musik die benutzt worden sind, brachten das ganze Gelände zu einem futuristischen à la Dino Crisis Kunstobjekts, wo man sich auch selbst als ein Starfighter fühlen kann, wenn man will. :o)

Überall konnte man rostiges Schrott, Kunstobjekte und sonnstwas rumliegen sehen ... und merkwürdige geräusche kammen von allen seiten her ... das waren die Roboter :o)))

Leider hatte ich nur Zeit für den letzten Tag, also war ich nur da zum Kaffe und Kuchen mit dem Robotern. Ich hatte irrgendwie gehofft mit einem Robot ein nettes Kaffe-kränzchen zu formen und über Linksgewindschiffschraubenmuttern zu discutieren, aber nur Wesen auf Fleisch und Blut warem am Tresen und auch auf dem Bänken...

Die Roboter hatten sich die ganze Zeit sehr schön amusiert... hier ein paar Fotos:

Robodonien 2008 ist, denke ich, die erste Veranstaltung in Köln mit dieser speziellen Kunstform wo Technologie und Kunst zusammen schmeltzen und hoffentlich geht es weiter und immer besser in den nächsten Jahren.

Novaya Insolvanya, was reported as disappeared in the early eighties of the last century, it was situated in the Barents Sea, 50 longitude, 72 degrees north latitude, was the smaller neighbor island of Novaya Zemlya, the eleventh largest island in the world and a nuclear weapons testing ground of the former Soviet Union.
Through decades, if not centuries, of isolation they had developed a distinctly separate culture.
The daily life, myths and fairy tales, religion and folklore, even the sexuality of the islanders were very different from the rest of the world.
Only the few remaining real objects, tools, pictures and reports from the three surviving island inhabitants are the testimony from this culture. They usually prefer to keep it secret, except they give one of their rare concerts as the rest of the Novaya Insolvanya Symphony Orchestra.
The conserved objects and oral testimonies of the three survivors, clearly shows that on the island ruled a very distinctive culture, which, however, fusioned with many fragments of other cultures.
Often, without knowing the true meaning of these other cultures, they were placed in a new contexts, accompanied by very own interpretations and fusioned.
Although often in contact with Soviet scientists and engineers, for example, with the neighbor island of Novaya Zemlya, who sometimes just left their legacy on the island, but they didn't show any interest in the unusual residents so myths and behaviors of strangest peculiarity got developed.
So now this all goes back for decades, the two survivors of the sinking island and later discovered survivor who emigrated already before from the island, others live all around, but although they have only spent her childhood on the island they failed to assimilate.
Unfortunately, they have also forgotten a large part of the customs of their island. But on the other side it shows their uniqueness.
Their approach to the world and live is therefore based on memories and feelings. And also mixed up by now with many things heard later.
Thankfully, in Cologne were found musicians who lead the rewarding lecture, which is not always pleasant in passable lanes for our ears!
Nevertheless, particularly the ability to give back to the native sounds correctly is marginal.
At the time of the sinking of the island, they both had the status of the orchestra held apprentice, so not yet learned much about the intricacies of insolvanischen music.
